At ContainerGrid, we are a team of movers and shakers with a common goal: to increase the recycling rate through efficiency gains. 2019: The founding year
In 2019, we laid the foundation for our project by winning the HEC Paris start-up competition, which proved our innovative approach. This was followed by a detailed process analysis at Reiling MS-Recycling, the development and demonstration of our first prototype and presentations to key industry associations. This year was all about gaining knowledge, testing our ideas and building relationships within the industry.
2020: Refining our vision and paving the way for market entry
In 2020, we made significant progress in terms of technology and market penetration. We developed the AVA Augsburg Supplier Portal to optimize communication and processes between suppliers and customers. We also introduced our one-size-fits-all solution, which was initially tailored specifically to the waste disposal industry and thus marked our official market entry.
2021: Consolidation of our position
In 2021, we are building on our initial momentum and focusing on further developing our products and identifying new areas of expansion. In doing so, we were able to continuously pursue our goal of consolidating our position as a reliable and innovative solution provider in the waste management industry.
2022: Expansion and growth
The year 2022 saw a dramatic increase in our operational capabilities: we processed thousands of transactions every month. To support this rapid growth, we expanded our team and continued to invest in our people, recognizing their critical role in our journey.
2023: Expansion towards recycling
The year 2023 marked our entry into the internationally renowned XPRENEURS incubator at UnternehmerTUM, which gave us access to important resources and networks. Our team expanded geographically and now consists of members in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin, reflecting our growing influence and also our understanding of Germany-wide retail and recycling.
