    The cost of waiting

    From February 2027, every EV battery placed on the EU market needs a battery passport, and the new EU End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation (in force since August 2026) sets recycled-plastic quotas for new vehicles: 15 percent from 2032, 25 percent from 2036. Governed dismantler networks and evidence chains take quarters to build, not weeks. The passport deadline is a data problem you solve in 2026, not in 2027.
